I don't have firsthand experience with treatment here but I can say this is the only place in Toccoa including the "health department" where people are unashamed to talk about HIV prevention and harm reduction. I also know that the staff here go through a lot standing for what they believe is right including police harassment and intimidation for running a program that is 100 percent legal.

Staff is very professional treats you well instead of like an outcast. Counselors work with you and really try to help you.

I've been going her for almost two years, and the staff is wonderful. My consulor is the best in my eyes, she listens to me and I truly believe she cares about us as individuals, Her name is Billie and I think she is the best hands down of all the consulors I've had, she's the only one I've had here at this clinic. When I went to medicine wheel clinic, I went through four consulors and I just felt like a number not a person with her! I would recommend this place to anyone suffering from addiction with opiates! It helped me and still does help me!

This is a great place to help you get your life back together if you are struggling with addiction to opiates. I have been working at the clinic as a certified addiction counselor for a while and see people's lives change for the better everyday.

This is by far the best facility for drug treatment that they offer in this part of GA.... I use to have my opinions about the methadone clinics and believe it or not after 4 yrs of everyday treatment I still have opinions about them... I was just like most of you out there. I thought the clinic was NOTHING BUT BULLCRAP, A LEGAL WAY TO GET HIGH, LEGAL WAY TO SALE US ADDICTS DOPE, IF EVERYONE COULD GO TO A CLINIC OF THERE DRUG OF CHOICE THEN THEY TOO WOULD BE ABLE TO MAINTAIN AND THE REASON IM SAYING THIS IS BECAUSE SO MANY PPL THAT ARE ON METHADONE INCLUDING MY HUSBAND ARE SO FAST TO SAY " IT HAS ME CLEAR MINDED, IM ABLE TO WORK, MAINTAIN AND LIVE A NORMAL FUNCTIONING LIFE. METHADONE SAVED MY LIFE I DOSE EVERYDAY IT KEEPS ME SOBER I CAN BE A MOM/DAD IT DOES ITS JOB FOR ME. THE TRUTH IS METHADONE DOES DO WHAT ITS SET OUT TO DO AS FAR AS BLOCKING UR EUPHORIA THAT WORKS ON THE PART OF THE BRAIN THAT UR HEROIN AND ALL OTHER OPIATES WORK ON TO GET HIGH. IT DOES AS WELL GET THE ADDICT HIGH IN THE BEGGINING IF IT DIDNT THEN NO ONE AND I MEAN NO ONE WOULD TAKE IT IN THE BEGGINING. WE ALL TURN TO THE CLINIC FOR THE SAME REASON AND ONLY REASON BEING LEGAL WAY TO GET HIGH AS WELL AS THE FAST WAY WITHOUT A DR. Or AN INSURANCE TO GET UR FIX.. IF A PERSON TRULY WANTED TO STOP AN OPIATE OR HEROIN THEN THEY WOULD SIMPLE JUST STOP BECAUSE THE WITHDRAWL ITS SELF IS NO WHERE NEAR AS INTENSE OR AS LONG AS A METHADONE WITHDRAWL DETOX. NOW WITH THIS BEING SAID YES IT KEEPS U FROM WANTING ANOTHER DRUG FOR THE TIME BEING BECAUSE UR GETTING SO HIGH OFF OF UR METHADONE DOSE AND UR DAY CONSIST OF GOING TO THE CLINIC TO DOSE AND THEN ENJOYING UR HIGH THAT U DONT HAVE ROOM FOR UR OTHER DRUGS... BUT U SOON BECOME DEPENDENT ON THE METHADONE AND NO MATTER HOW HIGH UR DOSAGE GOES U WONT GET THE HIGH UR BODY IS SO DESPERATELY CRAVING THAT UNFORTUNATELY ALOT OF PPL END UP DYING FROM OVER DOSE ON METHADONE OR MIXING THE METHADONE AND BENZO THE TWO MIXTURES CREATES A HEROIN LIKE HIGH FROM NODDING OFF THE TWO TOGETHER WHICH IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS.. SO EVEN THOUGH IM A LONG TERM PAITIENT OF THE CLINIC I STILL HAVE MY GOOD AND BAD OPINIONS ABOUT THE TREATMENT METHADONE CLINICS... JUST KNOW THAT IF U PLAN ON GETTING INTO A CLINIC UR IN IT FOR THE LONG HAUL BECAUSE THIS ISNT SOMETHING UR GOING TO BE ABLE TO DO OVER NIGHT OVER A WEEK OVER A MONTH THIS TAKES SEVERAL OF MONTHS GETTING OVER THE WITHDRAWL AND MENTAL STATE OF DETOX.. SO YES THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST CLINICS THEY FOLLOW ALL THE STATE AND FEDERAL GUIDELINES, THE NURSES ARE WOUNDERFUL DR IS BEYOND GREAT. SOME OF THE COUNSELORS SUCK AND ITS SIMPLE JUST A TIME PUNCH IN AND OUT TO THEM. THE BEST COUNCLOR OF ALL IS NOW AT THE COMMERCE CLINIC WHICH IS MY COUNCLOR LOL BUT OVER ALL I WOULD GIVE THIS CLINIC A DEFINITE 4-5 🌟 🌟🌟 🌟 RATING....
